Decade Energy has signed a Supply Framework Agreement with Sungrow for up to 200 MWh of battery storage equipment, supporting the company’s plans to scale deployment across its growing portfolio of projects in France. 

The agreement brings Decade Energy with one of the world’s leading renewable energy and energy storage technology companies. Sungrow has installed more than 1,000 GW of power electronic converters globally and operates a network of more than 520 service outlets worldwide. 

The partnership marks an important step in moving from the development of individual battery storage projects to a repeatable delivery model across multiple sites. By agreeing core supply terms in advance, Decade Energy can reduce complexity between projects and focus resources on site-specific engineering, grid connection and construction requirements.

Battery storage is becoming increasingly important as power systems integrate more renewable generation alongside growing electricity demand from transport, buildings and industry. For developers, the challenge is therefore not only to build a strong project pipeline, but also to create the supply chain and delivery model required to execute that pipeline reliably.

The agreement forms part of Decade Energy’s broader strategy to build the technology partnerships, infrastructure and delivery capabilities needed to deploy battery storage faster and at greater scale.
