Decade Energy is strengthening its Board and advisory expertise at a defining moment for truck electrification and grid capacity availability across Europe. As electric fleets move from ambition to deployment, the question facing logistics operators and real estate owners is no longer only which vehicles to buy, but how to secure the power infrastructure needed to run them.

This is the shift Decade Energy was built to address. As demand accelerates, the company is entering a broader phase of deployment, moving from early market proof points to platform scale across logistics and industrial sites.

To support this next chapter, Decade Energy is welcoming Essa Al-Saleh as Board Member, alongside Lorna Walker and Christian Drenthen as Advisors. Together, they bring senior experience across the industries now converging around depot electrification: real estate, logistics, electric trucks, infrastructure, capital markets and operational scaling.

Essa Al-Saleh brings the scale-up operator’s lens. Over more than 25 years, he has led and advised companies through growth, transformation and market expansion across logistics, mobility, infrastructure and technology. He previously led Agility Global Integrated Logistics as it became one of the world’s largest logistics platforms, and later served as CEO and Board Member of Volta Trucks during a defining period for electric heavy-duty vehicles in Europe. His experience will support Decade Energy as it scales across complex, capital-intensive and operationally demanding markets.

Lorna Walker brings the real estate investor’s lens. With more than 15 years of experience in real estate capital markets, including a long career at CBRE, she understands how infrastructure readiness is becoming a strategic issue for asset owners. Most recently, as co-founder of Camion, she has focused on helping real estate investors understand the impact of grid capacity, solar, battery storage and EV charging across their portfolios. At Decade Energy, Lorna will support commercial strategy, market positioning and engagement with the real estate industry.

Christian Drenthen brings the transport operator’s lens. Across senior leadership roles at DB Schenker, TNT Express, FedEx and Unilever, he has spent his career inside the logistics networks Decade Energy is helping to transform. His experience spans road transport, supply chain operations, digitalization and large-scale logistics transformation across Europe and global markets. At Decade Energy, Christian will bring insight into the operational realities of transport operators and the role depot infrastructure must play in the next generation of logistics.

“We are honored to welcome Essa, Lorna, and Christian to Decade Energy. Each of them brings experience from a critical part of the ecosystem we are building for: real estate, logistics, electric trucks, infrastructure and company scaling. As Decade Energy moves to broader deployment, their guidance will help us sharpen our strategy, expand our reach, and continue building the power infrastructure that logistics electrification requires.”

– Carl-Magnus Norden, Chairman & Co-Founder, Decade Energy

Together, these appointments reinforce Decade Energy’s role at the intersection of energy, real estate and transport: three sectors that can no longer be treated separately as logistics electrification moves from ambition to execution.

They also reflect a broader conviction at the heart of Decade Energy’s work: the electrification of logistics will not be solved by vehicles alone. It will depend on the infrastructure, capital, software and operational models that make electric fleets viable at scale.
