Decade Energy has selected SIREOS as a delivery partner for its growing portfolio of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in France.

Under a framework agreement, SIREOS is expected to support around half of Decade Energy’s initial 100 MW BESS deployment programme in France, with scope to extend the partnership as Decade Energy’s project portfolio grows. 

SIREOS will deliver the Balance of Plant required to turn Decade Energy’s battery projects into operational assets. Its scope includes detailed engineering, civil and electrical works, equipment installation and integration, construction management, testing, commissioning, as well as operation and maintenance of the BESS plants. The first projects covered by the framework are now progressing toward execution, with construction and commissioning to follow as individual sites reach final investment decisions. 

SIREOS was selected following a competitive tender process based on its BESS experience, technical and operational capabilities, knowledge of French regulations, and ability to deliver consistently across multiple sites. 

Building a trusted network of delivery partners is central to Decade Energy’s portfolio strategy. A standardized approach makes it possible to apply the same requirements for safety, quality and performance across projects while adapting each installation to its site and local grid connection.

The framework will support Decade Energy’s French project pipeline as sites progress into construction, providing a consistent delivery structure across the portfolio. Together, Decade Energy and SIREOS will combine local execution capability with a portfolio-wide approach to safety, quality and performance.

The resulting battery assets will strengthen Decade Energy’s distributed energy infrastructure in France, providing flexibility to the electricity system and supporting the power needs of large-scale transport electrification.
