Aymeric Leenhardt has been appointed as the company’s VP Business Development, bringing significant experience of commercial fleet electrification. Having been at the forefront of the electrification of light commercial vehicles at Watèa, part of the Michelin Group, he has extensive practical knowledge of the challenges and opportunities of large scale fleet electrification. His background offers a strong complement to the Decade Energy founding team’s experience of electrifying medium- and heavy-duty vehicle fleets. The appointment strengthens Decade Energy’s ability to support customers in their transition to electric across the entire range of vehicles in their fleet.

Baptiste Perlin joins Decade Energy as VP Infrastructure with a comprehensive background in leading complex electric infrastructure development and deployment projects. With a background at hydrogen-powered taxi fleet Hype and renewable energy producer Akuo Energy, Baptise has comprehensive practical knowledge of designing and realizing charging infrastructure, microgrid and renewable energy solutions. The appointment strengthens Decade Energy’s ability to deliver comprehensive infrastructure installations to support the electrification and energy management of electric commercial vehicles.

Finally, Cyril Champier has been appointed as VP Engineering as the company ramps up its development of software solutions that increase the reliability, productivity and cost effectiveness of electric commercial fleets. Cyril has extensive experience of software development in high-growth startups having held senior software engineering positions at fintech company Swile, the French healthcare platform Doctolib, and his own SaaS company Augment. Having scaled teams from 10 to almost 100 software engineers at both Swile and Doctolib, Cyril has led teams through both seed and growth stages.

“I am delighted to welcome Aymeric, Baptiste and Cyril to the management team of Decade Energy at a time when the European transport industry is coming to terms with its responsibilities of mitigating climate change as well as the opportunities that lie in electric transport. We see a growing demand for guidance and support as transport companies move beyond piloting electric vehicles to electrifying mission-critical vehicles in their fleets. These additions to our team will allow us to better and with broader scope support our customers as they transition their operations away from diesel”
